Welcome to the Selby & District Riding Club’s website.

The Selby & District Riding Club was formed in 1985 by three friends who each owned their own horse and felt that there was a need for a local riding club on the South side of York (I was one of the three) making this year our 25th anniversary.

Over the years we have gone from strength to strength and now have over 100 members so far this year. From our very humble beginnings, when we borrowed fields and various other venues, we now have a club field at Deighton on the A19 where we hold various competitions throughout the year including dressage, show jumping, showing and working hunter, together with special events for members only. We pride ourselves on being a friendly Club and encourage competitors at all levels. We support the Area Riding Club events and our teams represent us all over the country.

We welcome both junior and senior members and anyone interested in joining the club can contact one of the Committee members if they require any additional information – a membership form is available on the website.
